Shelties come equipped with winter coats so it is no surprise to discover Max loves winter! Whether it is blazing through powdery snow drifts, eating newly fallen flakes or creating his own funky version of a snow angel Max loves Mother Nature's winter apparel. In years past, Max and I would walk our property and found the snow gave us many new perspectives. I know I sure got an education. "Oh, I now see by the yellow snow why you are so fascinated with the smells at that spot." Deer and raccoon prints in the snow were another giveaway.

Max is shown here on the dock of our icy pond investigating yet another sight unseen. Undoubtably, those two L-shaped ear canals on top of his head have alerted him to something going on nearby. Perhaps the sound of a cheese wrapper at the next door neighbor's home? 2/14/16
