Number 1055 was built for the US Army as #8038 in 1943. It was acquired by the Alaska Railroad in 1950. They converted it from RSD1 1002 to RF1B 1055. It was retired in 1965 and was scrapped, 1966-68. Anchorage, 5/28/73
