While I have hundreds of images of trains along Turnagain Arm I have very few along the much more difficult to access Knik Arm. I had long admired this location on the map and made several trips to this location but things never quite came together. Last night was an ideal night but I couldn’t get my chores done in a timely manner so I hoped the weather would hold for a shot tonight. It did and tonight’s shot shows the southbound Denali Star along the shores of Knik Arm a couple of miles north of Birchwood. The weather just held out. I waited for the northbound freight but the weather deteriorated by the time it arrived.
