Short Seward freight at Snow River Bridge

Saturday 9.21 was shaping up to be a nice day for a number of reasons. One it was a day off, two the weatherman forecasted sunshine and this summer there had not been a whole lot of that. And lastly even though passenger season had just ended there were a number of train options available. I decided on Seward as there was a short Seward freight coming north with a single Geep and about 10 cars of freight to come north until the next barge arrived. It was partly cloudy when I left Anchorage but blue skies prevailed in Seward although when I made back towards Anchorage clouds would return but for the most part the sun was out. Seen here crossing the Snow River about 14 miles north of Seward. 9.21.24
