This is the end. All four of the Alaska Railroad's MP15s are lined up on the ramp track outside the ARR's yard office ready for shipment south to Whittier and back to the lower 48. They were retired from service and sold at the end of 2008 but then spent over a year being prepped for shipment since the buyer could not arrange for the UP or BNSF to accept them in interchange. But now they are ready and on February 19th they will be taken to Whittier in special move and sail south arriving in Seattle on the 28th. February 12, 2011
