Here are a couple shots of the Whittier Shuttle in June of 1984. In the first shot ARR 1802, with perennial running mate 1776, is waiting while the train loads vehicles and passengers at Portage for a shuttle trip to Whittier. The second shot shows ARR 1802 accelerating through the Portage yard toward Whittier. It’s late in the afternoon, so this was probably the last trip into Whittier for this Sunday.
