Some people love Soapy Smith's Pioneer Restaurant and some don't. With that said, we needed to experience this eclectic restaurant for ourselves, if nothing more than to say we've done it. The owner loves to entertain and showed off his family history as well as a wide variety of interesting Alaska memorabilia. Our service was speedy, the food was good, but the cost was overpriced. Would we go back? Nope. Years ago I remember eating with an ARR MoW crew at Big Daddy's BBQ and loved it. I really need to return. 7/14/23
